About Me
Okay nosy, I’ll fill you in. I’m Amy, a veteran newspaper reporter and current grad student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. I’m originally from mid-Michigan and earned my undergraduate journalism degree from Michigan State University. I moved to Chicago after working as a metro reporter at The Detroit News, mostly covering politics and suburban trends; my first “real” reporting job was at the Port Huron Times-Herald. I’ve also had a bunch of great internships, which you can read all about on my resume. I’m a big fan of yoga, Tiger baseball, Miss Manners and indy music. I sing professionally and am devoted to my dog, Simon.
